If a lesson does not exist in all terms, it is implicitly restricted by those terms in which it is defined. A simple example: The school year has 40 weeks and is split into 4 terms, each 10 weeks. All weeks are to be counted.
Let’s assume that a teacher only has a one-period lesson in the third term. The yearly average of this lesson, which is active in only one of the four equally long terms, therefore accounts for 0.250.
This lesson is implicitly restricted by the term in which it is defined. This is shown by the mark “(p)” in the “Restriction” field.
Change of automatically calculated value through user entries
Please note that you pre-define a yearly average when you change the value of a lesson by entering a value in the “Value” field through the command “=ANY_VALUE”. Consequently, such a change of the yearly value brings about a change of the values shown in the “Weekly values” window and in the “Value=” field.
In the example below, we enter 1.000 in the Value column which changes the automatically calculated value of 0.250 of lesson 3431 to 1.000, i.e. it is quadrupled. Accordingly, all other values need to quadruple.
