WebUntis offers flexible overviews to help you quickly and clearly view timetables from different perspectives. In this article, you will find everything you need to know about the Daily and Weekly Overviews for classes, teachers, rooms and resources.
Daily Overview
The Daily Overview allows you to compare the timetables of multiple classes, teachers or rooms side by side for a single day. This is particularly helpful for quickly identifying free rooms, scheduling conflicts or substitution needs.
Available Overviews
Day – Classes: displays all selected classes side by side for one day.
Day – Teachers: displays all selected teachers side by side for one day.
Day – Rooms: displays all selected rooms side by side for one day.
Functions at a Glance
Hide empty columns
Use the “Hide empty columns” button in the top left corner to automatically hide columns without scheduled lessons and keep your view more compact.
Navigate to Timetables
Clicking on the name of a class, teacher or room in the header bar takes you directly to the individual timetable of the selected class, teacher or room.
Weekly Overview
The Weekly Overview provides a grid view showing all scheduled lessons across an entire week. This allows you to quickly see occupancy and free time slots for different classes, teachers, rooms or resources.

You can access these overviews directly via the corresponding menu items in the navigation.
Functions at a Glance
Overview Grid
For the selected category (e.g. classes or teachers), all classes, teachers, rooms or resources are displayed in a grid format.
Filled blocks represent scheduled periods.
White blocks indicate free periods.
Dashed blocks mark holiday times.
Navigate to Timetables
Clicking on a name (e.g. of a teacher) takes you directly to the detailed timetable for that class, teacher or room.
Jump to Daily View
Clicking on a date in the weekly overview takes you directly to the corresponding daily overview for the selected class, teacher or room.
Note on Rights Management
Please note that the availability of menu items for the daily and weekly overviews depends on the rights management settings in WebUntis.
Depending on the permissions assigned, certain users (e.g. teachers) may not have access to all overviews.
If you are missing specific views, please contact your WebUntis administrators to check your permissions.
