What is SSO?
SSO stands for Single Sign-On and refers to a authentication mechanism where users can access several services, only needing to log in a single time at any of the respective services.
Typically, this involves a well-known identity provider, such as Office365, SAML, LDAP, or OpenID Connect.
Schools have the option of setting up SSO authenticaton in WebUntis. Users can then log directly into WebUntis via their selected identity provider(s) and thus do not need dedicated access credentials within WebUntis itself.
Untis Mobile and SSO
Untis Mobile fully supports SSO since Android version 6.7.0, iOS version 4.7.0. Assuming WebUntis has been cnfigured for SSO, Untis Mobile allows to log in accordingly using the button <SSO log in>:

If your device does not meet the current minimum requirements for Untis Mobile, you can continue using Untis Mobile 4.2.7. As SSO sign-in is only supported starting with version 4.7.0, you must sign in using the QR code in earlier versions.
