In the input box calculation method, you need to decide whether you want to calculate the way it is usually done in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, i.e. you calculate the weeks, or the way the Scandinavians calculate, i.e. the year.
- Weekly values: Use this calculation method when your teachers have a weekly target defined in their contracts. A special variation of weekly calculation is minute calculation, i.e. instead of weekly periods “real” hours and minutes are counted.
- Yearly values: Choose this calculation method when the teachers need to meet a contractual yearly target. In the “Yearly value (100%)” field you can enter the value corresponding to a full teaching load. Entering 900, for example, means that every teacher needs to teach 900 periods per year. With this option, which is used in Norway, you can see in the teacher master data what percentage of the teaching load has already been assigned to the respective teacher. For more information please go to the “Module” manual, section “Lesson planning and value calculation”, chapter: “Percentage factor (yearly value)”.
