Read receipts/confirmations in Untis Mobile
Since Untis Mobile versions Android 3.9.0. and iOS 3.14.0 (see also Release Notes), parents and students can be asked for a read receipt.
For more information on how to create parent users, please click here.
When creating a new message to parents, you can choose between two additional features.
You can either CC the respective students in to inform them that a message has been sent to their parents, and you can ask for a read receipt.
|Request a read receipt from parents or students|
|CC students in|
When you create a new message, you can select these features by clicking on the icons, but you also can deactivate them. Whether you have selected only one or both features is shown below the text "Message to parents".
After the message is sent, you see an information screen telling you, to how many users this message was sent, and whether you have requested a read receipt.
Parents and students will see this message under the segment: "Read receipt necessary". As soon as the receipt will have been sent, a banner is shown with detailed information on when the receipt was sent. As soon as there are no more messages to be confirmed, the "Read receipt necessary" segment is not available any more.
On the "Sent" tab, teachers can now see how many parents or students confirmed the message. When you tap on the number of receipts, you see detailed information on when exactly the message was confirmed.
If there are two parent users, you can get one level lower and see which user confirmed when. You only need a receipt of one parent.
Read confirmations in WebUntis
As of WebUntis 2021.8.0, it is possible to request read receipts for messages also via the web.
You only need to activate the "Request read confirmation" checkbox and the request for a read confirmation is sent out together with the message.
Parents and students can confirm the receipt of messages in WebUntis directly.
The sender of the message can access the list of read receipts and sees instantly, who in particular and when this person sent a read receipt.
