An alternative to create a course based on a course template is clicking on the <Create courses from lessons> button under <Courses> | <Courses>.
With this you create a course from an existing WebUntis lesson.
This means that the course has a reference to the lesson from which it has been created, and at first, it has no participants. As soon as participants have been assigned to the course, they can be imported for assigning the students to the respective student group of the lesson.
Such a course does not have a course template.
Select those lessons which are to serve as sources for new courses. When you click on the <Create courses from lessons> button, the course is created in the background. Click on the <Close> button to close the window:
In the course overview, courses from a lesson are easily recognisable by the word "Lesson" stated in the last column. When you click on this link, you are directed to the individual dates of the lesson (or the individual periods).
The registration of the students to this course, and the subsequent import of the registrations to the lesson (see chapter: Registration and opting out periods), leads to assigning the students registered for the course to the lesson from which the course has been created. If the lesson does not yet have a student group, it will automatically be created.
Verifiable under <Lessons> | <My lessons> | "Students in the lesson".
Warning: If students have already been assigned to a student group, this will get lost and the students will be replaced with the course participants!!
You can copy already existing courses instead of creating them anew. This is in particular necessary, if you need to create several courses which differ only in a few details. Therefore, select a course, and click on the "Copy" button.
