+ substitutions
If you want to edit an unscheduled substitution without employing a particular substitution teacher, you can enter "+" and mark the substitution as edited (and e.g. add more details in the text).
"Nevertheless" substitution
If a teacher has been set to absent but should nevertheless teach for one period for once (e.g. holding an exam), the absent teacher can still be employed after confirming the prompt if the teacher should still be scheduled.
Block substitution
If a substitution teacher is needed for a double period or a period block, you need to check the "period block" box in the substitution suggestion window. If you check this box, only those substitution teachers will be shown who would be able to take over the entire period block without any clashes (e.g. Monday, periods 1 and 2). If the substitution teacher takes over, he or she will be employed for the entire block.
permanent substitution
If a teacher is absent over several weeks, a substitution teacher can be employed for the entire time of absence. If you check the box "Permanent substitution" and employ a teacher for Monday, first period as shown in our example, he or she is automatically employed as substitution teacher for this period for the following weeks.
Only check the "Permanent substitution" box, if you can solve the consequent substitutions by employing other teachers or by preponements. If the regular timetable needs to be changed due to the permanent absence of a teacher, create a new term for the respective time range in the timetable mode, and carry out the necessary changes in this newly created term.
