If a class or a student group should be supervised by a teacher who is teaching him/herself in the respective period, this can easily be arranged via the supervision feature.
The < Supervision> tab shows those teachers who are teaching in this respective period, and in general, are therefore available for supervision.
Apart from the information the substitution suggestion provides, additional information is needed for the supervision suggestion.
Room, class
The room and the class in which the teacher is currently teaching.
Subject
The subject taught by the potential supervisor.
Corridor
If corridors were assigned to rooms under "Master data | Rooms", they are shown here. You can see at a glance 0> in which area of the building the potential supervision teacher is located in the respective period.
If no corridors have been defined, the difference of the input order of both rooms in the master data is shown.
Teachers who are coupled with the absent teacher are highlighted by a green background and marked by the word "coupling".
Double click on the supervision suggestion and it will be implemented. Since the teacher who will supervise is already teaching in this period, Untis asks how you want to complete this task. Supervision is already pre-selected as an option, and the supervision teacher can be employed by clicking < OK>. In this row in the substitution view, the word "supervision" is now shown.
The supervision teacher does not get credit for an additional period. You have the option to count supervision half (see chapter <Settings of substitution counter>).
The supervision period can be shown next to the regular period (Timetable settings | Layout 2 | Separate periods in case of clash).
Automatic supervision
At some schools it is common that certain periods are taught by two teachers instead of one, e.g. by the actual teacher and a special tuition teacher. If one of the two colleagues is not available, the second teacher automatically supervisions the entire lesson.
Tick the box "Subst: automatic supervision" in the respective column of the lesson. If this box is ticked, and one of the two teachers is absent, an automatic supervision is created in which the second teacher is employed.
The same logic can also be applied to lessons with more than two teachers. The teacher teaching the same student group or in the same room as the teacher to be substituted is employed first. If the aforementioned criteria are not met, any teacher of the coupling can be employed.
