It happens very often, that both students and teachers need to receive additional information regarding daily substitution planning. This could be information for the entire school (e.g. regarding a school event), for individual classes or teacher, or for a certain substitution. This is why Untis provides you with several possibilities to send messages.
In WebUntis you can either create messages of the day for all users, or send targeted information to groups or individual persons with the message system. For more detailed information, please read our WebUntis documentation.
Daily comments are for entering and printing information for the entire school, for teachers or students, or for a certain teacher or a certain class.
Example: Entering daily comments
- You enter daily comments in the bottom segment of the calender.
- In the selection list on the left you choose for whom the text is to be displayed or printed (all, classes, teachers).
- Enter the text. It will be displayed or printed for the respective day.
You can also enter several texts for one day. Additionally, you define in the "valid for [Tage]" column for how many days in the future starting with the selected date, the daily comment will be displayed.
If you want to display or print a certain text only for teachers, choose in the line of the respective daily comment the element "Teacher" in the "Type" column. In the "Elements" column you can then select which teachers should receive the text.
The daily comments can also be included in the page layout of the timetables. The daily comments are in the right window segment of the page layout. You can drag them from there to any position next to or below the timetable.
In the "Substitution text" column you can enter any text you want for any substitution case.
If you want to display or print different texts for teachers and students, show the "Substitution text" column in the teachers' list, and the "Substitution text 2" in the students' list.
You can lock the width of the substitution text column for print and display, and you can define word wrapping for longer texts via "Page layout".
If you already entered a text for the lesson, it is displayed in the "Les-Text" column in the case of a substitution.
