General
In the following, design changes of WebUntis 2021 are described:
Navigation
Navigation can now be found on the left side of your screen to have more place for content. The reason for this step was that most screens are rather wide than high.
The navigation structure largely remained the same and is split in two levels, with one level only being visible, though. By clicking on “Back”, you return to the main menu.
The navigation bar can be folded to save space; the icons of the different navigation items are still displayed, but the text is hidden.
Every menu item now has its own icon, so you still know your way around even if the navigation bar is folded.
Logout
The Logout button is now bottom left on your screen, directly below the profile (see screen shot above).
Logo
Another difference compared to the old WebUntis design: The school logo is not displayed any more when you are logged in. However, it is still displayed at the WebUntis login site.
Timetable teachers/students
The timetable of the teachers and the students now have an additional item: “My timetable”. It is automatically selected when you click on the menu item “Timetable”. This change has been implemented also for class users.
Lesson
In the old WebUntis design, you had to click on “Examinations” to get to the “Exam scheduling” button.
The new WebUntis design has the “Exam Planner” button under “Lesson | Exam Planner”.
Calendar
The calendar in the side bar can be folded now, but keeps its usual function for the time being. In future, the calendar will not be displayed on sites where it is not necessary.
Department filter
The department filter is now displayed like any other menu item and not as a drop-down list any more.
